When the Presidio Theatre presented two performances of Colette Uncensored last week, it was a reprise of a show done at the Marsh in 2016. The remarkable play was also performed in London, New York, Washington DC, Berkeley, and Portland that year.
Robert Martin, Executive Director of the Presidio Theatre told audiences that we should expect more ground-breaking productions in the future:
“With the relaxed mandates taking hold in The Bay Area, we can expect a flourishing of the arts here at the Presidio,” he said.
Martin led the Lensic Performing Arts Center in Santa Fe, New Mexico for 16 years, where he developed the Lensic Presents series featuring more than 45 theatre, dance, music, and film events each year that reflected the cultural diversity of Santa Fe and supported local, national and international artists.
Prior to that, Martin directed programming for the Cowell and Bayfront Theatres at Fort Mason Center in San Francisco. He was an online producer for the Statue of Liberty Celebration’s Harbor Festival, among other historic events in New York, Los Angeles and San Francisco.
