As noted in an earlier post, San Francisco Playhouse’s season closes with Cabaret, the Tony Award-winning musical.
Susi Damilano’s direction, along with music direction by Dave Dobrusky and choreography by Nicole Helfer proved to very popular with the opening night audience.

He becomes infatuated with the coke-addled and delusional Sally Bowles, who entertains at the Kit Kat Klub as a singer…and fantasy object.
We saw Emma Stone performing the poignant “Maybe This Time” in the first act back in NYC two years ago, and it was good.
But one of the great revelations of this production was the singling of Cate Hayman in SF in the same role.
She knocked it out of the park.
