Bay Area Critics Praise “Follies”

“Follies,” the James Goldman and Stephen Sondheim musical that opened July 20 has been getting good solid reviews from Bay Area critics.

Lily Janiak, writes in the San Francisco Chronicle’s “Datebook,” that the musical about aging former Follies dancers gathering for their ‘first and last reunion,’ seems tailor-made for this late-pandemic era, when we’re all still climbing out of a gaping hole in our lives, taking stock of its scope, and blundering our way through trying to mend it.”

Tickets ($30 – $100) are now available.
