Opera Parallèle has announced a monthly series of free, online streamed recitals from March through June.
These “Close-Up” performances combine music and stories celebrating spring themes, and are brief enough to enjoy while taking a routine ferry ride.
The short programs (20-30 minutes) feature artists from OP’s ten-year history of innovative contemporary opera. The performances will be given at 5 PM PDT Thursdays March 25, April 22, May 6 and June 17, and OP artists and staff will lead informal conversation in the online chat at the time of each recital.
The “Close-Up” performances can be experienced on Facebook or YouTube. The programs are free of charge and will be available to view until the next “Close-Up” recital is released, or for approximately one month.
Specific links for each release date will be made available on the day of each performance at www.operaparallele.org/closeup. Below is the full schedule.
